Saturday: Marrakech was “on-fire”…  with real tension waiting for the football match!

Luckily, the Atlas Lions; Moroccan National football team won a great victory, in real style.

2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier: Morocco beats Algeria 4-0

The goals were scored by Mehdi Benatia, Marouane Chamakh, Youssef Hadji and Oussama Assaidi. This takes the Atlas Lions to the top of the group with seven points while Algeria has four.

Marrakech – Morocco topped the group D of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier after its win, on Saturday in Marrakech, over Algeria.

Riad Laksiba’s Guests had their own celebration to the game and bought little Moroccan flags…

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has decided to allocate the revenues of Morocco Vs Algeria football match, Saturday 4th June 2011, for the benefit of victims of the terrorist bombing of Argana.

According to a report from the Federation posted on its website that “In solidarity with the city of Marrakech, and as an expression of condemnation of terrorist acts of any kind, it was decided to give the receipts of the match between Morocco and Algeria on 4, June for the benefit of the families of victims of the Coward attack on April 28, which targeted Café Argana in Djemaa el Fna square “.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has chosen to hold the match at the Stadium of Marrakech as an attempt to deliver the message that this attack will not close the doors for development in the Tourism-Capital of Morocco.

It is assumed that the attendants along with the two teams shall stand a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Argana Café terrorist incident.
